Buying a new house is one of the most exciting things you can do! We are doing just the opposite. Next week we are putting a 3 unit apartment house on the market. Gonna just keep the one in the country.
Any one just dying to live in Vt.? Darn, I had a feeling.

by Cabin in the woods indoes anyone remember about how long it takes for the number of memorial attendees as well as the count of partakers to be announced to the public?
for the life of me i can not remember.
i am certain that those numbers are not held back until the yearbook.

DARN! No Bethel connections. Just can not wait to see how those numbers look for attendance this year. This is the first time in 30 some odd years that I am not going to go and I have seen a lot of others on this board that are putting their foot down as well to all this nonsence.
Even if they are fudged I want to see what they spit out. Just wished that we had some secret access to them, don't you?

i want like advice on how i should deal with this cause sometimes i feel this oppression(dont knw if i spelled that right) on being gay and also being a j.w theres this i'm not sure how to explain it....like you knw that when people in your congregation find out the ones you know all ur life are going to hate u cause ur gay............this i guess just makes me feel really sad........ kind of hoping that this made some sorta sence.................... i suck at spelling so if i miss spelled something sorry@_@

Hello to both of the new members in this thread and welcome to this thread.
One thing that I just happened to think about was that there is a wonderful group for gay and lesbian J.W.s and ex J.W.s and of course I can NOT think of the name of it. I have 2 very close lesbian friends-yes, they were my friends when I was in the " truth". That place has helped me to understand alternative sexuality and made sense of so many aspects of it.
Annother thing I wanted to mention is to be careful about your computer history as people can go on your pc and check out where you spend time. You might be 'outed' before you are ready. So, clean your history after each session and all of your 'sent emails' and any emails that you want to keep you might want to save in a password protected folder.

Perhaps I had better rethink my attitude... it is just that those witnesses are always thinking that they have the right to take over our lives and our relationships.
I just gotta learn to relax a bit.
Black Swan is also right in that you are a lovely person and mom to have this understanding.

My heart goes out to you. I am in a similar situation but I guess that I harbor a very selfish and bad attitude as my children are my children. I gave birth to them and in a crisis I am the mother. Friends should always be there to support but to not take over or (if need be) take one of them home to recooperate and leave me standing there.. That is just plain control. If they can not have children they can adopt.
It is wonderful that they love your daughters and drop everything in a crisis but they need to know their place.
